Leiden is a city with a long and rich history, and has its roots in science, culture and international relations. A city with lots of water and canals, various monuments and many prominent museums. In the center there is a wide choice for shopping, and Leiden also has a very varied cuisine and lively catering industry.

Leiden is the perfect location for trips to the seaside resorts of Katwijk and Noordwijk. But Haarlem, Amsterdam, The Hague, Delft and Rotterdam are also a short journey away from Leiden.
